How you can use Instagram for business and pleasure

Are you ready to start using Instagram for business and pleasure? After reading my Instagram tips you will know how to sign up as a business, engage with your followers and how to promote your Instagram account.

Today I share 5 tips on how you can use Instagram for your business. Here we go!

1. SIGN UP AS A BUSINESS
• Use the name of your business, brand or website on your Instagram account, upload your logo as a profile pic, add your profile description and add your website link. Your bio is the only place on Instagram where you can add a clickable link. Don’t connect your Instagram account to Facebook, since it will connect with your personal profile.

2. WHY SHOULD YOUR BUSINESS BE ON INSTAGRAM?
• Decide what you want to do, have a clear strategy so it makes sense for your company and your followers. Do you want to share inspiration, sell products or drive traffic to your website?

3. THINK ABOUT YOUR INSTAGRAM FEED
• Use a consistent style, look and feel on all the photo’s you upload on Instagram. There are 40 different filters. Choose one that you are comfortable with and makes your pictures stand out!

4. ENGAGE WITH YOUR FOLLOWERS
• Show your followers you care and reply to their comment’s and questions. Instagram followers are very loyal. When someone tags your brand on Instagram, share their photo with your followers (use a repost app). Your fans love it when you give a shout out, it’s a simple thing you can do to reward your loyal fans and followers.

5. PROMOTE YOUR INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT
• Make sure you share your Instagram photo’s on your other social media accounts too. You can easily connect your account to: Twitter, Tumblr, Flickr and Swarm. Always make sure to actually share your photo on Twitter and, when it’s possible, add a direct link to your Instagram photo.
